Budapest among the best student cities in Europe

The Hungarian capital is the fourth best student city in Europe and only missed the podium by a hair's breadth. In the publication „50 Best Student Cities in Europe 2024”, published a few days ago, the ranking was determined solely on the basis of real-world experiences and opinions collected from students on the organisation's website. At the top of the list are Czech, German and Irish cities – Prague, Heidelberg and Galway – Budapest only narrowly behind by one-tenth of a score. There is another Hungarian city, Pécs, in 14th place.

Why reviewers think Budapest is great:

"Perfect city for students, especially for those who enjoys the night life. I know a lot of people who got here for Erasmus, and they loved it. I love that there is always a way to get anywhere around the city via public transportation even in the middle of the night."

"I think Budapest is very Student friendly and safe. There are many cultural places, restaurants and parks in the city. Public transport is also good and cheap for students, I use the metro almost every day. There are many nice cafes and libraries too."
