ELTE has contributed to whitepaper on “European Vision for the 6G Network Ecosystem”

In a recent whitepaper by the 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) titled “European Vision for the 6G Network Ecosystem”, Sándor Laki from the Faculty of Informatics at ELTE also contributed. This whitepaper explores global initiatives to develop and standardize 6G networks, aiming for deployment around 2030. It underscores the necessity of a unified 6G vision shaped by key international stakeholders. It highlights Europe’s proactive role in 6G research, development, standardization, and addressing societal, environmental, and economic challenges, driven by key stakeholders worldwide towards a single global consensus.

The document presents an updated vision for the emerging 6G architecture, emphasizing innovative solutions to address the limitations of current 5G systems. It highlights critical challenges in 5G that hinder efficient global operations and proposes architectural advancements to overcome these obstacles. These proposed innovations aim to establish a resilient, adaptable, and sustainable network supporting next-generation applications and services.
