TDK CONFERENCE – IT SCIENCE SECTION, 2025 Spring

In the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, the ELTE IK Faculty TDK Conference will be held in the Informatics Section, providing an opportunity for students to present their scientific results. This year, the conference will be hosted by Siemens Mobility Hungary.

The conditions for participation in the conference are the preparation and submission of a thesis summarizing the scientific work, and giving an oral presentation at the conference. The most successful theses can also be nominated for the biennial national conference - OTDK.

Expected date of the Faculty TDK Conference: June 4, 2025.

Application deadline (abstract upload): April 28, 2025 on the new webpage (details coming soon)

The deadline for uploading theses online: May 18, 2025.

We do not ask for the thesis in printed form!

According to the jury's decision, once a TDK thesis is accepted as an MSc thesis, no further modifications can be made until the final exam. This means that the version uploaded to the TDK website and Neptun must be identical.

Therefore, students who are taking their MSc final exam in a given semester and wish to have their TDK thesis accepted as their MSc thesis upon a positive jury decision must upload their thesis to both the TDK website and Neptun simultaneously—by December 1 for the fall semester and May 1 for the spring semester.

There is no possibility for a TDK paper to be accepted as a BSc thesis.

You can contact Péter Kovács (kovika@inf.elte.hu) or Csaba Bálint (csabix@inf.elte.hu) with questions, from whom you can get more information.

Evaluation criteria of the TDK thesis:

  • The novelty of the thesis (8 points)
  • The topic and content of the thesis (8 points)
  • Verification of the results (8 points)
  • Elaboration of the literature on the topic (6 points)
  • Formal design and style of the thesis (6 points)
  • Scientific value of the results achieved (6 points)
