At the gala of the Digital Forum, Hungary's most prestigious marketing professional awards, the Marketing Diamond Awards were presented.

The Faculty of Informatics at ELTE won the Marketing Diamond Award in two categories: with its science communication project titled "The Wonders of Machine Perception – Sensors and What Lies Behind Them," it was recognized in the social campaign category, while its "Meet a Robot Day 2025 – Robotics Family Day" program was awarded in the events and event-based activities category.

The  Marketing Diamond Awards ceremony was held on March 4, 2026, where the awards were received by Szilvia Molnár, marketing manager of the Faculty.

The Mission of the Marketing Diamond Awards

Established by the Hungarian Marketing Association, the goal of the Marketing Diamond Awards is to recognize outstanding, effective, and innovative marketing solutions implemented from both the agency and client sides, with particular emphasis on projects that demonstrate exemplary professional performance even with smaller budgets. The award serves as a hallmark of excellence, awarded by a jury composed of recognized industry figures based on predetermined professional criteria.

This year, a record number of 574 submissions were received for the competition, announced for the eleventh time. The organizers highlighted that the professional standard of the submissions is rising year by year, which once again posed a significant challenge for the jury.

Two Awards, Two Categories, Two Outstanding Projects

"The Wonders of Machine Perception – Sensors and What Liess Behind Them" – Social Campaign Category

The Faculty of Informatics' comprehensive science communication program presented research results in sensor technology, machine perception, and autonomous systems in  easy-to-understand and spectacular form. The campaign was created in collaboration with three research groups and aimed to make advanced IT research understandable, bridge the gap between science and the general public, inspire young people toward technology careers, and showcase the everyday applications of autonomous systems (drones, radars, sensors). The project reached its audience with high-quality videos shot in real environments, infographics, educational articles, and events.

"Meet a Robot Day 2025 – Robotics Family Day" – Events and Event-based Activities Category

The popular event of the Faculty of Informatics at ELTE brought the world of robotics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems closer to families, young people, and the technology-interested public through experience-based demonstrations and interactive technology activities. The event aimed to present modern robotics technologies up close and personal through personal experiences, inspiring future generations toward IT careers.

The recognitions also indicate that the communication and science communication activities of the Faculty of Informatics at ELTE are outstanding at a national professional level.
