My research area is related to the IT-based integration of industrial systems. My tool is an HP 3D scanner, with which I am looking for opportunities to connect to quality control, typically in the area of industry 4.0. My research is therefore concerned with exploring the potential and the limitations of the 3D scanner. By matching the result products (point clouds) to each other (point cloud matching), evaluation systems have been created. In the PHD, I aimed at the verification of quality control processes (processing of result products of 3D technologies) by algorithms, with a special focus on the move towards Industry 4.0 technology. Therefore, my publication list mainly consists of: Alignment of drawn (CAD software) parts; Point cloud clustering analysis; Defects analysis in welds aligned to standards; Point cloud analysis according to weld manufacturing parameters using digital twin deployment.
